pre-Dorset culture

The people of the pre-Dorset culture were ancestors of the Inuit. According to archeological evidence they migrated from Asia to Canada through the land bridge, which is now the Bering Strait. They came to North America about 4500 year ago and went as far as Greenland. During their time, they occupied the territories of Alaska, Canada, and Greenland. They were characterized by their great mobility. They had small delicate tools and lived in small settlements.
